'THE REGULAR' $55/person DURATION: 3 hours INCLUDES: 3 HOURS, ISA-certified, bilingual instructors, transport, gear, refreshments, tropical snacks, all taxes/fees, insurance. BOOK IT
Get introduced to surfing fundamentals, paddling skills, surf board positioning, proper-stand-up, riding techniques, etiquette, and maneuvering. After we pick you up at your area hotel, we take you to one of the best surfing beaches in the area. Once there, you will have a 3-HOUR group surf lesson with a maximum of 3 students per instructor. If students are kids, we assign 2 per instructor.
You will be outfitted with a surf board according to your level of experience (soft boards for beginners, etc), leash, and rash guard. Before hitting the waves, your instructor will give a detailed safety talk and demonstrate the first steps of surfing. After, it's time for warm-up and a bit of "play" - surfing is extremely physical. This will get you pumped! When you feel confident enough, your MASS instructor will accompany you into the waves and will continue to guide you throughout your session. For your hard-earned break, we will treat you to fresh fruit and cold drinks. After, it’s back into the water to catch more waves and practice your newly learned skills. When the lesson is finished, we will return you back to your desired drop-off location.

After pick-up from your hotel, we set off for a day of sun, sand, and fun in the waves. A 10-minute drive from Manuel Antonio brings us to to a tiny port where we board a boat to cross a small bay. Sit back and experience a day in the life of humble, friendly Costa Rican families as they tend to their daily routines. Take in breathtaking wildlife, birds, and finally, smile as we reach the miles of sandy beach...that you have ALL TO YOURSELF. A short walk will bring us to our perfect spot. Your guide/instructor will outfit you with surf boards, rash guards, and leashes. Enjoy and refresh with the fruits and juices that we provide throughout your tour. Lunch with us at a favorite local spot and enjoy delicious, traditional, local cuisine. Playa el Rey is about a 25-minute drive from Manuel Antonio. But what do you care, we're driving;) Enjoy the scenery! Off-the-beaten path, secluded beaches, gorgeous scenery. Beach break here is with left and right peaks. Breaks similar to Jaco/Hermosa. Hardly anyone knows to go surfing here so it will be very uncrowded and truly special! Approximately 3.5 hours of surfing.
SURFING in DOMINICAL FULL Day $130/pp $150/pp W/LUNCH or DINNER Full day tour, ISA-certified, bilingual instructors, full transport, all gear, refreshments, tropical snacks, all taxes/ fees, insurance. If you choose the option, LUNCH or DINNER in an ocean-view, mountain-situated, open-air restaurant serving traditional, authentic Costa Rican fare. BOOK IT
Dominical is about a 45-minute drive away. It is a great surf town full of good people, and it is much less developed than Jaco and Tamarindo. The scenery here is beautiful; picture a rain forest meeting the ocean. The crowds,weekday or weekend, are very FEW. Private, secluded, breathtaking, a fantastic way to learn surfing and experience something different and get out of town. Leisure stop at picturesque waterfall w/ swimming hole + Tarzan swing rope. Approximately 5 hours of surfing.
